Karnex Acceptable Use & Anti-Fraud Policy

Approved by Karnytine Labs LLC · October 6, 2026

This policy is part of the Karnex Terms of Service, and applies to every account. Karnex grants remote access to computers, which makes it a real target for tech-support scams and unauthorized-access abuse — this policy exists to make clear that Karnytine Labs LLC does not tolerate that, and to give the company a documented basis for terminating accounts that do it.

1. Authorized Use Only

You may only use Karnex to access, view, or control a device when you have clear, informed authorization to do so — either because you own the device, your organization owns it, or the device's owner or authorized administrator has knowingly and voluntarily agreed to the specific session. Authorization obtained through deception, impersonation, false urgency, or any other misleading means does not count as authorization for the purposes of this policy, regardless of whether the device's owner clicked "allow" or read a code aloud.

2. Prohibited Conduct

Using Karnex for any of the following — or materially assisting someone else in doing so — is strictly prohibited. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive; conduct of a similar nature and severity is also prohibited even if not explicitly named here.

  • Tech support scams, including posing as a legitimate software vendor, computer manufacturer, bank, government agency, or their support staff to convince someone to grant remote access under false pretenses.
  • Fraud of any kind, including using remote access to view, capture, or transmit financial account information, payment card numbers, banking credentials, or cryptocurrency wallet access without the account holder's genuine, informed consent for that specific purpose.
  • Unauthorized access to any device, account, or system you do not own and do not have clear authorization to access.
  • Unauthorized scanning or monitoring of networks or devices, including using network discovery, port, ping or website checks, or SNMP against any network or device that you, your organization, or a client who has authorized you does not own or manage.
  • Social engineering or manipulation used to pressure, scare, or trick a person into starting or continuing a session (including fabricated security warnings, fake error messages, or claims of an urgent problem that doesn't exist).
  • Installing malware, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious software on an accessed device, or using session access to weaken a device's security (disabling antivirus, opening firewall ports, creating backdoor accounts, etc.) without the owner's informed consent.
  • Data theft or exfiltration — copying, transmitting, or retaining personal, financial, or business data from an accessed device beyond what the authorized purpose of the session required.
  • Extortion or ransom demands made using access obtained through Karnex.
  • Impersonating Karnex, Karnytine Labs LLC, or any other business or individual in connection with a session.
  • Circumventing or attempting to circumvent Karnex's licensing, session limits, or security controls.

3. Enforcement

Karnytine Labs LLC reserves the right to investigate any account reasonably suspected of violating this policy. Where we determine, in our reasonable judgment, that an account has been used for conduct prohibited under Section 2:

  • The account and any associated subscriptions may be suspended or terminated immediately and without prior notice.
  • No refund will be issued for any unused subscription term, license, or prepaid balance associated with a terminated account, regardless of the billing cycle or amount remaining.
  • We may preserve account records, session logs, and related data as necessary to comply with law enforcement requests or legal process, and may report suspected criminal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
  • Termination under this policy does not limit any other legal or contractual remedy available to Karnytine Labs LLC.

This policy applies regardless of whether the underlying conduct is ultimately proven criminal or civilly actionable — reasonable suspicion of the conduct described in Section 2, based on the information available to us, is sufficient grounds for enforcement under this policy.

4. Reporting Suspected Abuse

Anyone — customer, device owner, or third party — who believes a Karnex account is being used for fraud, scamming, or unauthorized access should report it to support@karnex.org. Reports are reviewed and, where warranted, acted on under Section 3.

5. Relationship to the Broader Terms of Service

This policy is part of, and should be read alongside, the full Karnex Terms of Service. Where this policy and the general Terms conflict on a matter of acceptable use or enforcement for the conduct described above, this policy controls.
